Vee Dub Christmas Cruz – Weston Super Mare – CANCELLED

Welcome to the Vee Dub Christmas Cruz – Weston Super Mare edition in aid of The Grand Appeal (the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity)!

We are delighted to be able to bring you this event which has been granted COVID Secure status by North Somerset Council. As a result of our the COVID Secure status, there are several understandable constraints placed upon our license.

Please note the following before signing up:

The event is strictly limited to 160 vehicles and you must pre-register to attend.
Hand sanitiser must be provided by the event organiser to all attendees.
All attendees must pre-register and provide name and contact information for NHS Track and Trace requirements should they be needed.
Vehicles must be reverse parked with an empty space between them at Diamond Batch Car Park.
To protect the health and well-being of our events team all attendees must wear a suitable face covering during all interactions with them, including upon arrival when hand you your goody bag.
To protect the health and well-being of our events team and the other event attendees, where at all possible suitable face coverings must be worn to ensure the event is as COVID secure as possible.
To protect the health and well-being of our events team and the other event attendees, social distancing from other participants outside of your support bubble must be adhered to.
If any attendees are suffering from any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been alerted by NHS Track & Trace to self-isolate they must not attend the event.

We will be starting at the Diamond Batch Car Park in Weston Super Mare (BS24 7EP) and follow a route out through Mead Vale, on to Locking Road and then along to Beach Road at the sea front. We will then double back and park up along Marine Parade just past the Tropicana. The convoy will be escorted by the teams from Midlands Bike Marshals and Motorcycle Escorts Southwest to keep both the participants and the general public safe.

Participants can arrive at the car park any time from 3:15pm to add the final decorating touches to your Dubs and we will be departing there just before dusk sets in just after 4pm. Please note that there are height barriers on the car park entrance which will not be opened until 3:15pm so please do not arrive early or you may not get in safely!

Due to the current circumstances, we will not be able to take cash donations on entry, as such entry donations must be paid when you register. As we are taking these registrations online we need to also pass on the online charges to ensure that the full value of the donation can be given to the charity. We have set up two options – a £5 donation or a £10 donation. Also included in the registration fee is the provision of hand sanitiser as per our event license – each vehicle will receive a bottle of hand sanitiser upon entry.

The full cruise map will be published on the Facebook event here in due course. As always the event has been submitted to the Police and local Highways and we have public liability insurance in place. All participants are reminded that they are responsible for having a road worthy and legal vehicle with valid insurance and all drivers must hold a full UK driving license.

We will be emailing out a registration pack to all attendees which will include a reminder of the licensing restrictions for the event and a copy of the route map.
